ASA Microfinance Myanmar Ltd (ASA Myanmar) operates as a lending company and is regulated and incorporated by the Financial Regulatory Department and Directorate of Investment and Company Administration, Ministry of Financial and Planning of Myanmar under the Myanmar Companies Act 1914 on 19. ASA Myanmar is a subsidiary of ASA International, one of the world’s largest international microfinance institutions in the world. ASA Myanmar commenced its operations in 2014.

ASA Myanmar is a for-profit deposit-taking microfinance institution, providing small, socially responsible loans for income-generating purposes to low-income, predominantly female entrepreneurs. They provide these loans using the ASA Model of microfinance.
